Duck & Dry - Demystifying the fishtail braid

Everybody has that one beauty conundrum that they just can't solve or master. For some it's winged eyeliner or the perfect red lip. Myself, I stumble and trip at the fishtail braid (or for that matter any hairstyle that requires any styling). Duck & Dry, a boutique updo and blow dry bar in Chelsea, offered to help demystify that elusive braid with a one-on-one styling session.

Interiors: My London Home Office & Workspace

This, dear reader, is my personal pinnacle of human achievement: a workspace I don't have to hurriedly throw a sheet over whenever I have company for shame of the mess that dares not speak its name(s). Mostly chips and dents in the desk, a rainbow-hued avalanche of Sharpies, and camera lenses haphazardly rolling about -- is that a lens cap in my mug of tea? Yes.

Bespoke Offers 'Beat My Price'

Spring has sprung in London! I’ve received this lovely surprise with great enthusiasm — can you tell from my bloomin’ burst of flowergrams? True to my hoarder-purger nature I celebrated with a huge spring clean, and now it’s time for the inevitable replacing of the things-that-were because I just can’t do ‘white space’ (unless of course it’s my wallet —  in a week the fat wad of crisp bills have whittled down to a modest family of moths). To reward my short-lived minimalism I’m treating myself to a few things for Spring. I’m thinking: a Nespresso U coffee machine for sipping home-brewed espresso at home like the (lazy) urban sophisticate I am while listening to Spotify's Acoustic Covers playlist on new Bose SoundTrue headphones and enjoying the sweet, zesty scent of a Jo Malone ‘Lime Basil & Mandarin’ candle.

'Flâneur Forever': Hermès Wanderland at Saatchi Gallery

What is more quintessentially London than the classic image of a dandy, impeccable in smoking slippers and cane, peacocking along Hyde Park with no greater pursuit in mind than that of the pleasures of a voyeuristic city stroll? His Parisian counterpart, le flâneur, is the central theme of the latest Hermès campaign ‘Flâneur Forever’, the whimsical spirit of which is celebrated at Hermès Wanderland — an immersive and surrealistic exhibition at Saatchi Gallery

Art - or in this case, the art of blogging - imitates life, so as a blogger you better be damn sure your life or at least surroundings are interesting. Whether the setting for your fashion posts are the white stuccoed streets of Chelsea or you shoot outdoors in verdant parks of East London, I’m certain all you London bloggers are a creative lot who are always seeking a new backdrop in this vast and eclectic city.
